Day 14 - Missoula, Montana to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada

Well, apparently I inadvertently deleted the Day 13 post, and there is no way I can recreate it. That's one of the issues of using my laptop. Oh, well...

Let's go on to Day 14, as it was much better, anyway. All the pics from Day 13 are still around somewhere, and if I get time, I'll try to repost them.

So, starting out, Garmin gave me this guidance:

So, I soon arrived at Glacier National Park, and many pictures follow. By far, this park continued to blow me away at every turn, even though there were too many mini-vans and slow white-knuckle drivers.to suit me. Sorry if that offends anyone, but you have to remember what car I'm driving! In spite of this, the 46 miles of the Going to the Sun Road took well over an hour, as I stopped many times to take breath-taking photos. And who says America isn't great???

Soon, however, it was sadly time to leave the mountains behind and head north and east for Canada.

Just checked another Canadian province off my bucket list! Heading for Medicine Hat, where I see this:

The world's tallest teepee, of course!

The day's final Garmin results:

See, we're in Canada, where everything is in Metric units, as it well should be!

But, if you want it in American speak:

Hope to get an early morning appointment with the local Honda dealer for an oil and filter change before I head out for Brandon, Manitoba, so time to hit the hay.

  1. Another advantage to Metric is your top speed will be higher 👍

  3. Great pics! I know you would like to drive through those hills forever - but some day you will have to come back to the flat land.

I am really going to miss your posts, it becomes additive. The photos are great, yes in Canada we DO pay attention to politics south of the border. I just changed my comments. Big brother could be watching. Loved to see maximum speed in KM. It looks so much more impressive in your little rocket!
Maybe when you get home you could write a book with pictures about all your travels. Safe trip. Keep writing and taking great pics.

    1. Thanks, Joanne. Just saw this! I'm afraid no book in my future, but I sure do have a lot of happy memories of this trip. Love you Canucks!
